Introduction to GypCeiling MF
A 1day course covering the installation of GypCeiling MF (MF Ceilings) this includes setting out, forming suspension point, extending components, forming bulkheads/changes in ceiling height and boarding.
Description
This one-day course is a great introduction to installing MF ceiling systems. It’s a good next step for new dryliners or beginners to develop further competency and practical skills as an industry professional.
The course teaches attendees how to install GypCeiling MF. including setting out, methods of suspension, forming bulkheads/changes in ceiling heights and boarding. It’s suitable for anyone who’s already completed one or both of our metal stud courses or our GypCeiling Grid course.
The majority of the learning centres on practical skills but all attendees will have an in-person induction using video and verbal explanation. There’s also a recap at the end of the course to check learning and ask any questions.
On completing the course participants will be able to set out and install a GypCeiling MF, understand the correct methods of suspension, component installation and to be confident in interpreting drawing plans. There’s also a great emphasis on safety, organisation and methodical working throughout.
Following this course, delivered by industry experts, attendees could go on to the Beginners or Advanced Metal Stud courses or our Commercial Wall-linings course or even our GypCeiling Grid course.

CITB training grants
If you’re a CITB Registered employer this course attracts a tier 2 grant of £140/person.
Please note
you must include your CITB registration number when registering for the course when asked for the grant application to be processed.
The learner attending the training will also be required to provide some additional information including demonstrating their identification via official ID.
This grant can only be claimed ONCE per learner.
Late arrivals
All courses are a minimum of 6 hours per day
Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to your course
Once a course has started late arrivals will NOT be allowed entry, in this situation an alternative date will be provided, however NO refund will be issued

Cancellation policy
- We reserve the right to cancel or arrange an alternative date for a course. In such circumstances, we will endeavour to provide five working days’ notice of cancellation or change to you, unless the problem is urgent due to an emergency or illness.
- In the event of cancellation by the Build Better Academy, you will be entitled to a full refund of the course fee, but we shall not be liable for any other loss or expense arising.
- You may cancel the course booking by notifying us as soon as reasonably practicable. You shall also be deemed to have cancelled the course booking if the delegate does not attend the event
- No refund shall be provided if you cancel the course within 14 days of its start date.
