Description
This one-day course is designed for those in the retrofit market looking to install internal wall insulation.
During the course, participants will develop practical skills in installing BBA approved internal wall lining systems that support the Energy Company Obligation scheme (ECO). Attendees will learn how to install systems to the highest standards as well as the importance of thermal bridging and reducing air leakage.
The first three hours of the course will be classroom learning which includes an induction and an important safety brief. Attendees will learn about company compliance to PAS 2030:2017 and 2035:2019 and how to maintain good quality management systems. Following that there are three hours of practical activity, including work on the two GypLyner systems.
On completing this expert-led course, attendees will be able to choose the best IWL system to use, understand safe, compliant installation and provide great customer service.
Participants also have the opportunity to become part of British Gypsum’s Registered Installer scheme through an onsite inspection of work, repeated on a yearly basis.
Please note that the inspection fee to become part of our Registered Installer Scheme is not covered in the course fees and must be paid for separately.

CITB training grants
If you’re a CITB Registered employer this course attracts a tier 1 grant of £60/person.
Please note
you must include your CITB registration number when registering for the course when asked for the grant application to be processed.
The learner attending the training will also be required to provide some additional information including demonstrating their identification via official ID.
This grant can only be claimed ONCE per learner.
