Plastering for beginners
Plastering for Beginners is a three day introduction course that teaches participants how to mix and apply Thistle Finish plasters to plasterboard backgrounds.
Description
Plastering for Beginners is a 3 day introduction course that teaches participants how to skim plasterboard safely and efficiently.
The course is ideal for newcomers to installation, repairs, maintenance or self-build with little or no previous experience. Participants will use products from the British Gypsum Thistle Essential range with plenty of opportunities for practical, hands-on learning.
At the start of the course there’s an induction with the chance to meet other attendees, watch an initial how-to video and listen to a verbal introduction. Following that, participants will learn how to choose the right type of plaster from the range, select joint reinforcements and apply finish coat plasters to walls and ceilings. The course also covers how to apply external corner beads and prepare existing plastered backgrounds for re-skimming.
Overall, this is a great first step into plastering that will help to build skill, confidence and product knowledge of British Gypsum Thistle Plasters. There’s also a strong emphasis on safe working and quality with all course material delivered by an industry expert.
