This two-day course is ideal for both trainees and experienced dryliners who want to expand their knowledge and practical skills.
The course aims to help attendees become fast, efficient installers while maintaining the fire performance of drywall systems. Following a short induction and presentation, the majority of the course focuses on hands-on practical training.
Day 1:
Attendees will learn how to form service openings within British Gypsum Gypwall single frame partitions. Using British Gypsum approved construction details, participants will install openings of various sizes and positions while ensuring the fire performance of the partition is maintained.
Day 2:
The course builds on the openings created on Day 1. Attendees will learn how to correctly install Gyproc Firestopping products to provide passive fire protection of service penetraions through Gypwall Partitions, ensuring compliance with tested system details and maintaining the required fire resistance.
Delivered by knowledgeable industry professionals with a wealth of experience to share, the course provides expert guidance throughout, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and develop practical confidence.

Cancellation policy
- We reserve the right to cancel or arrange an alternative date for a course. In such circumstances, we will endeavour to provide five working days’ notice of cancellation or change to you, unless the problem is urgent due to an emergency or illness.
- In the event of cancellation by the Build Better Academy, you will be entitled to a full refund of the course fee, but we shall not be liable for any other loss or expense arising.
- You may cancel the course booking by notifying us as soon as reasonably practicable. You shall also be deemed to have cancelled the course booking if the delegate does not attend the event
- No refund shall be provided if you cancel the course within 14 days of its start date.

Late arrivals
All courses are a minimum of 6 hours per day
Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to your course
Once a course has started late arrivals will NOT be allowed entry, in this situation an alternative date will be provided, however NO refund will be issued
