Description

This one-day course is a great opportunity to develop knowledge on the passive fire protection of ductwork, including key regulations and legislation, as well as provide practical knowledge and experience on the installation of the Isover U Protect System for passive fire protection of ductwork.

The training will focus on the theory behind the fire protection of ductwork and in particular, Isover’s U Protect System. The practical element will take place in our brand new training facility at East Leake, where attendees will get the chance to measure, cut and secure the insulation onto our ductwork rig.

 This course provides comprehensive training on the Isover U Protect System, focusing on the passive fire protection of ductwork. It is designed to help participants understand the installation process, safety practices, and relevant regulations and is delivered through a mix of theory presentation, practical activities and informal Q&A.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the installation of Isover U Protect System to both rectangular and circular ductwork
  • Understand key legislation related to passive fire protection of ductwork.
  • Locate further information and support on installing Isover U Protect System

IMPORTANT

Due to the use of equipment which produces electromagnetic fields in the practical work, this course is not suitable for those fitted with pacemakers, those who have heart valve issues or whom may be/are pregnant

This course and all resources are all in English

Cancellation policy

  • We reserve the right to cancel or arrange an alternative date for a course. In such circumstances, we will endeavour to provide five working days’ notice of cancellation or change to you, unless the problem is urgent due to an emergency or illness.
  • In the event of cancellation by the Build Better Academy, you will be entitled to a full refund of the course fee, but we shall not be liable for any other loss or expense arising.
  • You may cancel the course booking by notifying us as soon as reasonably practicable. You shall also be deemed to have cancelled the course booking if the delegate does not attend the event
  • No refund shall be provided if you cancel the course within 14 days of its start date.

Late arrivals

All courses are a minimum of 6 hours per day

Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to your course

Once a course has started late arrivals will NOT be allowed entry, in this situation an alternative date will be provided, however NO refund will be issued
