The Advanced Pure Practical course will focus on building high performance systems and understanding the importance of building systems correctly.

Description

Pure Practical Advanced is a one-day course that follows on from the initial Basic course. Designed for anyone new to the industry, including branch or internal staff, this practical course builds on relevant experience and knowledge already gained in a job role.

 The course is suitable across commercial, RMI and residential sectors and focuses on building high performance systems in a correct, safe way. Attendees will learn about the performance criteria for sound insulation, fire protection and thermal insulation products and how British Gypsum meets those standards. 

 Participants will take part in a short induction and safety briefing before moving on to product orientation, handling and assembly. The majority of the course is practical and explores products including GypCeiling MF, Gypwall Twin Frame Braced inc Isover APR Attendees will also work with GypWall Shaft and GypWall Resilient partitions with Isover APR, GypLyner Xternal .

 This is an opportunity to get in-depth knowledge first hand from industry experts and leads professionals on to the next stage in their career development.

Pre requisites

All learners must have completed a Pure Practical

All learners must be able to speak and read english to complete the course

Late arrivals

All courses are a minimum of 6 hours per day

Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to your course

Once a course has started late arrivals will NOT be allowed entry, in this situation an alternative date will be provided, however NO refund will be issued

Cancellation policy

  • We reserve the right to cancel or arrange an alternative date for a course. In such circumstances, we will endeavour to provide five working days’ notice of cancellation or change to you, unless the problem is urgent due to an emergency or illness.
  • In the event of cancellation by the Build Better Academy, you will be entitled to a full refund of the course fee, but we shall not be liable for any other loss or expense arising.
  • You may cancel the course booking by notifying us as soon as reasonably practicable. You shall also be deemed to have cancelled the course booking if the delegate does not attend the event
  • No refund shall be provided if you cancel the course within 14 days of its start date.
