Commercial Site Managers - GypLyner Xternal

A one-day course for site managers and supervisors responsible for GypLyner Xternal installations. Learn how the full system works, how to supervise correct installation, identify common site errors and ensure weather, fire and thermal performance. Delivered by experienced construction trainers.

Description

The Commercial Site Managers Course – GypLyner Xternal is a one-day, in-depth training programme designed for site managers, supervisors and those responsible for overseeing the installation of the GypLyner Xternal system on commercial projects.

This course provides a clear understanding of GypLyner Xternal as a fully tested Saint-Gobain through-wall infill system, not just a collection of individual products. Delegates will explore how system components work together to deliver weather resistance, fire performance, thermal efficiency and acoustic performance, and how these outcomes rely on correct installation in line with certification and tested details.

Through a combination of technical explanation, visual examples and real-world site scenarios, experienced construction trainers will guide delegates through correct installation principles for:

  • Head and base tracks, including deflection details

  • Stud layouts and fixing strategies

  • Jambs, openings and high-risk detailing areas

  • Correct use of Glasroc X boards, sealants, tapes and Isover Polterm Max Plus insulation

The course places strong emphasis on site supervision and quality control, helping delegates identify common installation errors, understand why they occur, and know how to prevent or rectify them before they impact performance, compliance or programme.

By the end of the day, delegates will be better equipped to:

  • Supervise installations with confidence

  • Challenge poor practice on site

  • Ensure works are compliant with system guidance, certification and performance expectations

This course is ideal for those managing or inspecting GypLyner Xternal installations who need assurance that the system is being installed correctly, safely and in line with specification.
